With David Premack in mind,I used a high probability ideal to reinforce a low probability ideal. Here is what I do.The highest score on any exam I give is 80 and achieving 100 depends on attendance. I am conveying the message that there is more to learning than taking tests.I find that students are so zealous to get good grades that they are eager not to do anything to jeorpadize their goals.
