I play uilleann pipes, and Edward's post reminds me of this (I don't have an 
attribution):

"....try to remember that these pipes are stupidly complicated and frustrating 
anywhere in the world, and in isolation it's a touch harder because there's 
nobody you can complain to who's got a chance of understanding what you're 
going on about."

It is, to say the least, dry and understated.
