 From the Dean's Page at:
http://www.stolaf.edu/offices/dean-of-college/neuroscientist.htm

To support a newly initiated interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program,
St. Olaf College invites applications for two tenure-track
neuroscientist positions, one in the Biology Department and one in
the Psychology Department. Both positions begin September 2002.
Applicants must have a strong interest in quality undergraduate
teaching, be committed to liberal arts education, and demonstrate the
potential to develop an active undergraduate research program that
strengthens St. Olaf's well-established summer research program.
Review of completed applications for these positions will begin
October 15, 2001, and will continue until the position is filled.
St. Olaf College, located approximately 40 miles south of
Minneapolis/St. Paul, is a highly selective, private liberal arts

diversity in its students, faculty and staff.

BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT POSITION
The Biology Department position is at the Assistant Professor rank
with primary teaching responsibility in an Introduction to
Neuroscience course. Candidates should also be able to teach
Introductory Biology, a mid-level course such as Invertebrate
Biology, Animal Physiology, or Human Anatomy and Physiology, and an
upper level Neuroscience Seminar. Although a research program in
all areas of neuroscience will be considered, preference will be
given to those using electrophysiological techniques. Candidates must
have a Ph.D. and demonstrated teaching experience; postdoctoral
research experience is strongly desired.

The Biology Department has 14 faculty members and graduates
approximately 90 majors each year. The department is well-equipped
for teaching and research with over 50 computers located throughout
the department and a broad assortment of spectrophotometers,
microscopes (including fluorescent and atomic force microscopes),
centrifuges, and general cell culture and molecular biology
equipment. Research is supported by individual and institutional
research grants from agencies such as NIH, NSF, HHMI, and Merck.
