The news here is not the corruption. That’s well known for years. The big news here is indictments and worldwide cooperation among police forces to investigate and arrest.
FIFA has operated as if it was extra-legal, and had some reason to believe it based on certain treaties and contracts. The US Justice Department, and others around the world, are begging to differ, apparently. This will be interesting to watch.
