This discussion about SSL triggered a reminder that I needed to check to
see how SSL from an applet worked. I couldn't get it going. The system
indicator comes on but then I get a "Disconnected" status after a while
. I suspect it isn't able to negotiate the protocol or there is a
sandbox issue. Not sure which. I CAN use SSL when I run the emulator
"normally".
I then checked out the latest in CVS that was posted last night and
rebuilt the jars and I still cannot connect.
The only difference between the emulator running (successfully) as an
applet without SSL and then breaking WITH SSL is I added the following
entries to the HTML:
<PARAM NAME = " -p" VALUE= "992" />
<PARAM NAME = " -sslType" VALUE= "SSLv3" />
Perhaps what I am using as an SSL type is incorrect? It is the same as
I have in my other connections.
One other question has to do with the my5250s.jar that is referred to in
the HTML. This is just a copy of tn5250j.jar, right? Nothing special?
Windows XP, jdk 1.4.2_06.
