http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35853 Summary: Make JkMount compatible with servlet-mapping/url-pattern in web.xml Product: Tomcat 4 Version: Unknown Platform: All OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Connector:JK/AJP AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The problem is that "X/*" URL mask matches "X" under tomcat, but not in mod_jk. Such a difference b/w matching algorithms makes it more difficult to configure mod_jk based on the web.xml. For example you have a servlet-url mapping: MyServlet1 -> /MyServlet1/* in web.xml of application "app1". When you access app1 directly through tomcat, following URL-s are mapped to the MyServlet1: "/app1/MyServlet1", "/app1/MyServlet1/child", etc. If you map servlet using JkMount in the form: "JkMount /app1/MyServlet1/* MyWorker" and will try to access the same URL-s via mod_jk, URL "/app1/MyServlet1" will not be accessible, b/c mod_jk will not match this URL to the specified JkMount mapping. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
