have my own directory as "sampleapp" which has the necessary structure
reloadable="true">the .class file is put into the following directory structure. classes/package1/structure/HelloServlet.class.

My question is in %TOMCAT%/conf/server.xml file how is the <Context> </Context> tag written. I have written it like this........
<Context path="/sampleapp" docBase="sampleapp" debug="0"
</Context>instruction
The directory structure of sampleapp is as follows...... %TOMCAT%/webapps/sampleapp/WEB-INF/classes /lib /sourcefiles /web.xml. The classes directory has the structure like this..
classes/package1/structure/HelloServlet class file.
My Web.xml file looks like this

<!-- bind a servlet name to a URL (pattern) --> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>HelloServlet</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/sampleapp</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping>
<!-- Servlet mapping end -->
