Hi Bill,
I just downloaded and compiled the source version from the Commons website (http://www.apache.org/dist/jakarta/commons/daemon/binaries/). Unfortunately, I still get the same error.
Any ideas? Perhaps you could point me to the site you downloaded your jsvc sources from, because the date stamp on the two sites I visited were different -- although the results were the same.
