Hello, Tramp 2.1.2 has been released. Besides some bug fixing, it contains a new experimental feature: URL file name syntax. It can be enabled by setting the new variable `tramp-syntax':
(setq tramp-syntax 'url) (require 'tramp) A short description is available in the Tramp Info section "(tramp)Alternative Syntax". Note that the integration with the "ftp" method (Ange-FTP or EFS) seems to be instable yet. This needs further improvement.
