Hi,

Tomorrow is the official start of GSoC. The community bonding period has
ended and I would like to thank everyone for their help, especially my
mentor - Adriano.

Even though Tuscany is not yet running on Android in the period before the
start of the project I managed to get familiar with Adriano's efforts while
setting up my working environment. Currently, I'm testing retrotranslator as
a workaround for the annotations problem. I've been documenting my progress
on the project log [1] and will continue to post the most recent updates
there.

I will do my best to make Tuscany run on Android, and hope that Google will
release a new version of the SDK soon so that I can concentrate more on
innovative use cases and avoid spending too much time on getting it running.
In any case I will appreciate the continued support of the community
throughout my project.

Coincidentally marking the start of my project, tomorrow I will participate
in an elevator pitch contest. I will talk about my GSoC project and
hopefully get more people in Delft interested. You can find my 60 sec pitch
in [2].

Lastly, I would like to congratulate all the committers for the successful
graduation of Tuscany!
