I have seen this exact problem at my best friend's home. Her problem solved when she got a new DVD drive. Well, I had this same problem with some other operating system DVD as well, solved it by getting a new DVD±RW.
In both cases, we were able to copy files. But for some reason it doesn't work when running live. Answer me an unusual question, can you watch all DVD movies without any problem?
