The lack of libffi4 breaks gtkpod and amarok in intrepid for me. Is
there a a way around this? when i try to run gtkpod i get this:

gtkpod: error while loading shared libraries: libffi.so.4: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

when i try too install libffi4, i get:

Package libffi4 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  lib64ffi4
E: Package libffi4 has no installation candidate

and, if i try lib64ffi4, i get

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  lib64ffi4: Depends: gcc-4.2-base (= 4.2.3-2ubuntu7) but 4.2.4-3ubuntu2 is to
be installed
E: Broken packages

Is this just a bug, or is there a workaround?
