I am still having issues mounting any USB flash drive. I have tried with
a 2gb sony, 1gb ?(it's old and the cover no longer exists) and an 8gb
PNY.  I am running ubuntu 8.10 beta updated today.

I receive the following errors.

Invalid mount option when attempting to mount the volume 'USB20FD'.

DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. 
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the 
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or 
the network connection was broken.

I have tried re-installing HAL as suggested in the link below, and have tried 
running the debug commands listed to properly report the error, but nothing 
happens. The log files it creates are empty.

lsusb shows the device is connected.
