same problem here.

Ubuntu 8.04
nfs-common 1:1.1.2-2ubuntu2.1
Linux miles 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Aug 20 22:56:21 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

the nfs-server is a debian etch box in my LAN:

Linux jaco 2.6.26-bpo.1-amd64 #1 SMP Tue Sep 2 09:38:17 UTC 2008 x86_64
GNU/Linux
nfs-common 1.0.10-6+etch.1
nfs-kernel-server 1.0.10-6+etch.1

is there at least some way to "reset nfs"? umount -fl on all nfs-mounts doesn't
help. the problem fixes itself after some time (dmesg:
[ 6620.654359] nfsacl: server jaco not responding, timed out
[ 6663.431487] nfs: server jaco OK), can I accelerate that?
