I installed Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.01, then installed 147 updates through
update manager, restarted. I then did "apt-get install xubuntu-desktop".
In gnome desktop, System -> About Ubuntu works fine; restarted to xfce
desktop, Applications -> Accessories -> About Ubuntu works fine.
If you can reproduce this bug, please change the status to new to notify
us that you wer able to, attach the entire file /var/log/syslog.0.
