Nope, problem still present, ugly and very annoying.

Network Manager keeps prompting me for wifi password.

Just tested 2.6.27-7.15 on an IBM T41 (model-type: 2373-9fg) sporting
ipw2100 that worked fine in 8.04.

... some more of the above ...
Authentication with 00:00:00:00:00:00 timed out

ipw2100: exit - failed to send CARD_DISABLE command

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ modprobe -l | grep ipw

claims that ipw2100.ko, ipw.ko and ipwwireless.ko are loaded from
/lib/modules/2.6.27.7-generic...
