this means that the update hasn't finished properly. Please type this
on a terminal post the output here:

 COLUMNS=200 dpkg -l libnm-util0 libnm-glib0 network-manager network-
manager-gnome


Also remove everything in /etc/network/interfaces that is not related
to "lo" (e.g. auto lo, iface lo ...)
