I want to confirm this bug. Upgrading from 8.04 to 8.10 stopped at
cryptsetup. I canceled it after more than 25 minutes with ctrl+c and
finished install.

Rebooting works fine/as usual and both my encrypted volumes are mounted.

"sudo dpkg --configure -a" just sends me back into

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-7-generic
Richte cryptsetup ein (2:1.0.6-6ubuntu2) ...
update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)

and never finishes.
