Hy Bryce, Here are the two files from a Hardy machine. Again, I am connected remotely to it so not sure if Xorg log files be as useful. But please let me know if I need to something special on the machine before sending the xorg log file.
Meanwhile, i am curious, did you try to reproduce the bug? It is simple: 1. Make sure you have the package ttf-punjabi-fonts insatlled. 2. Change keyboard layout to Indian->Gurmukhi 3. Open Gedit 4. Press Shift+3 and you should get ੱ character (http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/0a71/index.htm). But if you are getting "3", you are reproducing the bug. Many thanks, Regards. ** Attachment added: "Xorg log and lscpi output on a Hardy machine" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19650094/hardy-xorglog-lspci-files.bz2 -- gurmukhi keyboard missing addak (U+0A71) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282903 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
