Thank you for your bug report. I had the same problem, after installing a lexmark, but had installed the printer in kde system settings before I installed the right ppd.
So here are my questions: did you install the printer with a script or ppd file (linuxprinting.org) and did you install it before. For me it worked deinstalling, installing the ppd and reinstalling the printer. Please tell me if that helps.
