I have the same issue, the sis driver doesn't work on this board (Intel
D201GLY2).

The issue is that the Intel provided driver
(http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&Inst=Yes&ProductID=2873&DwnldID=15443&strOSs=39&OSFullName=Linux*&lang=eng)
does not compile anymore on Ubuntu 8.10 and I have to fall back to the
vesa driver...
