So it seems the libgphoto2 support should be disabled for this camera,
if it doesn't work.
Please install the "gphoto2" package, make sure that your camera does
not get mounted after plugging it in, and do
gphoto2 --debug --debug-logfile /tmp/gphoto.debug.txt -L
Does this print an error message, or a list of files on the camera?
Please attach /tmp/gphoto.debug.txt if it prints an error and fails.
