Holy crap, I can't believe I was about to report this bug and have come
to find that it's been here since 2005!!! WTF? Seriously, WTF!

When I click on a link to a *.pls file (otherwise known as a "Shoutcast
MP3 playlist") It presents the attached screenshot.

Lets say I don't want it to open it with Totem. Instead, I'd like it to
play in VLC, (or XMMS for those die hard XMMS fans out there). So I
click on the drop down where "Movie Player" is currently shown, and
select "Other..." because NOTHING ELSE IS THERE.

Instead of being presented with a nice listing of installed
applications, I'm asked to browse my root file structure. I, after 3
years of using this OS, still have little idea as to where I should even
look to find VLC or any other app for that matter. New users, I would
bet hard cash, HATE THIS. Sorry.
