Hi,
I'm using mythbuntu (kernel 2.6.24-22-generic) and experience the same
problems/ I have not tried using the wireless usb keypad on an older
version of Ubuntu but it definitely works under Windows.
my lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0a91:3801 Globlink Technology, Inc.
dmesg:
[ 1054.953903] usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5
[ 1055.197716] usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[ 1055.247311] input: wireless usb device as

[ 1055.374706] input: wireless usb device as
/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb1/1-2/1-2:1.1/input/input12
[ 1055.409373] input,hiddev96,hidraw2: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [ wireless usb
device] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2
So it looks like Ubuntu detects it happily, but then refuses to let the
dongle connect to the keypad.
