I upgraded my Inspiron 530 to 8.10 but got an issue with nvidia driver (173.14.12) seems to be a known bug (conflict with kernel 2.6.27-11). I will wait to see if DKMS auto installation will work one day, using generic (not nvidia proprietary driver) is ok for now
