I suppose that the workaround of Alain Keller does only work with the OSE version. I could not yet make higher resolutions work in the *non OSE* version 2.1.4 !
I still do get the following error message by installing the VBoxGuestAdditions in a Jaunty Client: Warning: unknown version of the X Window System installed. Not installing X Window System drivers.
