Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
Hi! Just installed Jaunty UNR from scratch on a Dell Mini 9. Using "ozerocdoff" from the Lauchpad package to switch the Option iCon 401 into modem mode. Set the security of the SIM card to "no PIN request", so no PIN is required (to circumvent another issue). When trying to connect to the network, NetworkManager crashes, the system might eventually freeze. I was not able to reproduce the later to a 100%. Here is the details: System: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: 0.7.1~rc4.1.cf199a964.0ubuntu2 Syslog after plugging in the USB modem: ###### Apr 24 12:32:10 ubook kernel: [ 108.476152] usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 Apr 24 12:32:10 ubook kernel: [ 108.610879] usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Apr 24 12:32:10 ubook kernel: [ 108.638692] Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
