Good evening, Following a friend suggestion (Frederic Peters) , I've de-installed kexec-tools (this tool is without interest for me) >From that the PC is able to restart normally.
So two questions: - Why a standard installation of kexec-tools in Ubuntu 9? (I never ask to have the possibility to run a second Linux kernel under Ubuntu...) - Why is it not possible to restart the PC with kexec-tools installed? Shouldn't be better to have a supplementary option in the "Shut down" menu to be able to start another kernel IF kexec-tools is installed?
