It'd be great if you were to include the apport-collect information from
before and after the system was updated.  If you've already updated you
could recreate the before part by using a live CD.

Status in “linux” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
I have an Asus M2N-CM DVI neat mobo with on-board sound. Since my install can
no longer use the front jack to hear headphone sound. There is sound from the
speakers though.  I have changed the  mobo bios setting from hd front sound to
ac but no joy. I can only hear a faint headphone sound if I put the jack in the
back of the pc where there is the mobo sound output.   Moral of the story have
to go back to 8.10.   Any clues? Seems as if the jaunty does not recognize the
hardware? I tried to get rid of pulse to no avail.
