Problem is: There is _no_ crash, so there is no backtrace... It is just
incredible slow...

I have, to further track this down, created a new parallel account and
there it works like expected (Fileselector opens fast as ever). So I
suppose, that this is somehow correlated to the system-upgrade (from
intrepid to jaunty) and has something to do with some settings stored
for the old Desktop. If you have any furhter ideas of how I can track
that onw down...
