Updates: 1. In the time it took me to write up that last comment, something reset itself, and I was able to reconnect. This is after several failed attempts 10-15 minutes ago. I didn't change anything, I was just here typing.
2. I'm actually not completely sure if it "freezes" nautilus, though it does freeze my desktop, and either way it takes a minute to get the error. 3.
