Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

I haven't seen this behavior and am not able to reproduce it. Let me
ask you a few questions to get a better feel for what's going on...

1. are you running the daemon, or the gtk client?

2. how do you exit Transmission?

3. after you add torrents, but before you exit Transmission, take a look
in ~/.config/transmission/torrents/. Are there files there for the
torrents you just added? Are they the same filesize as the original
.torrent files that you added? (Note: if you're using the daemon, it's
a different directory... check your init script)

4. after you exit Transmission, look for the .torrent files in the
previous question's directory. Are they still there? Are they still
the same filesize?

5. after you restart Transmission and some of the torrents go missing,
but before exiting a second time, look in that directory yet again. Are
there .torrent files there for the missing torrents? And, again, are
they still the right filesize?

6. if you're using the GTK+ client, are there any error messages in Help
> Message Log about the torrents that didn't get loaded on startup?
