Hi - This is true for some, but not all Telstra wireless users. If you have an account with an email address of [email protected] you need to use telstra.bigpond as the APN and you must enter your username and password in the connection config to connect. I have found this out from literally months of trying unsuccessfully to connect in 8.10 and now with 9.04 I can finally use my Telstra issue Next G card, an Sierra AirCard 880U. The connection information in the auto setup in Jaunty needs an extra Telstra type for bigpond.com accounts (they also have telstra.net I think)
