OK, now I did this:
 - insert the Win7 DVD
 - open its icon that appeared on desktop
 - check that window shows correct content
 - close window
 - check with 'df' in terminal that DVD is still mounted
 - start : brasero --brasero-media-debug --debug &> brasero-debug_try4.txt
 - in brasero click Butn Image
 - in dialog select source file : karmic-desktop-i386.iso
 - check in options that eject is not selected
 - burn
 - when finished, close burn dialog and close brasero
 - in system menu Places click "UDF Volume" (the remnant of the previous DVD
content)
 - two error dialogs appear:

Cannot mount volume.
Unable to mount the volume 'UDF Volume'.
Details: the bloody text can not be selected, even if people calimed that is
can..., I'll attach a screenshot

and the other dialog (small miracle, it can be navigated to by using
alt-tab) says:

Error
Unable to mount UDF Volume
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply
(timeout by message bus)

the brasero log is attached
