Public bug reported: On Asus EEE PC 1000HE running 9.10.
Upon opening new sound files (*.mp3s in my case) with totem, the sound level in gnome-volume-control-applet gets increasingly lowered, sometimes from 100% to 0% despite just resetting the volume in gnome- volume-control-applet . If I leave the volume control in totem at 100%, there doesn't seem to be any change in the volume in gnome-volume-control-applet. If I change the volume control in totem to anything less than 100%, it lowers the volume: if the totem volume control is set relatively high, the amount the volume is decreased is significantly less than if the totem volume control is set low. The change in the volume occurs when opening a file (executing totem, in my case). I don't think this is a totem-specific issue, since I had this problem with Audacious as well (before it was removed on a partial distribution upgrade). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Karmic - sound level gets lowered when opening new sound files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/403859 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
