Laurie,

My apologies if I was overly technical. While I don't think this is a
bug I will be happy to help you get underway.

Basically, Yahoo mail and something such as earthlink are two seperate
entities. Yahoo being web based goes through their own internal servers
and people will send you and e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the other
would go through your ISP(internet service provider)'s by typing in the
server information manually like the "smtpauth.earthlink.net". This
usually also requires some form of account/password to be stored as
well.

Basically if Earthlink is your ISP, i.e. the person who supplies you
with internet and you pay on a monthy basis, the best way to contact
them would most likely be over the phone. Explain to them you are trying
to set up your e-mail through them and ask them to walk you through it.
I'm sure they will be glad to help you out... at the same time if they
do use any custom port options they'll be able to explain that to you
aswell. Note that when doing this everyone who contacts you through your
yahoo e-mail will have to contact you through a different address.

Try that out and see how it goes. I'm going to go ahead and reject this
as a bug for now as I really don't think it is one but after you contact
them if there is still a problem I will gladly reopen it. Also, feel
free to e-mail me directly if you have any more questions.

Chris
