In time I will try to debug this one a little myself and provide more
details.  Here's what I got so far:

Browse to a folder containing one mkv file with valid header and video
data.  Switch nautilus view a few times, between icon and detailed, but
not too fast.  If you use your mousewheel and cause the listbox to go
crazy, you will unveil another bug!

So at just around 1.0 GiB nautilus will crash.  This is how to reproduce
the bug.  Having just a 2 meg mkv and appending a gig of NULLs to it
should constitute a valid test case.  You can do that with dd.
