Thank you Pedro! In time I will try to debug this one a little myself and provide more details. Here's what I got so far:
Browse to a folder containing one mkv file with valid header and video data. Switch nautilus view a few times, between icon and detailed, but not too fast. If you use your mousewheel and cause the listbox to go crazy, you will unveil another bug! bytes of mkv | result 1073741824 crashes it 1073741820 crashes it 1073740000 crashes it 1073735000 crashes it 1073730000 fixes it 1072000000 fixes it So at just around 1.0 GiB nautilus will crash. This is how to reproduce the bug. Having just a 2 meg mkv and appending a gig of NULLs to it should constitute a valid test case. You can do that with dd. -- nautilus freezes while browsing video folder, reproducible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/405908 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
