Ah-Ha!!!! now THAT'S interesting.... have just tried the install again from the 9.04 live CD, but this time with ext3 formatting instead of ext4 and its worked!!!!
So.... I guess the problem must lie either in the ext4 file system itself or the way the installer attempts to implement it.... And that's why I felt like I was hitting my head against a brick wall with both the live and alternate 9.10 CDs since they default to ext4 I hope I get a LOT of karma points for this! :) Attached are the syslog and partman files for the successful ext3 installation ** Attachment added: "syslog" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30706388/syslog -- Installation fails on Crucial/Micron M225 256gb SSD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
