I have seen this as well, probably not with this particular version, but
I've seen this.  It's very unfortunate that the packages don't seem to
be properly tested before release.  Installation, upgrade and
deinstallation is really the bare minimum of a test a package maintainer
should do.  It's very scary to think even this doesn't happen.
