I am not agree with the invalid. I do have the same problem. Kubuntu
installed plasma-netbook and so plasma-desktop is not working. I don't
think that plasma-netbook is ready especially in a normal computer so I
desinstall it. The result is the black screen. The solution to solve it
is to do alt-f2 and start plasma-desktop. The problem is that you have
to do it everytime.
