The only *solution* to escape is to hard turn off the laptop by keeping the power button pressed until it shut down. Steps to recreate: The laptop was set to have the power button for suspension. Either way, 1. First press the power button or select the suspend button from within the system. 2. wait for the screen to dim, see some command line blabber and the computer turns off. 3. Press spacebar or click/move mouse and await for computer to resume. 4.
