I m using ubuntu 9.04 on the same laptop. Installed it on speed mode
(i.e. nvidia card) then when I booted it up on stamina I get GUI options
to deal with it. I had two choices namely:

1. Temporarily start my computer in low graphics mode. (started on 800x600
instead of 1280x800 and no desktop effects).
2. Create a new graphics configuration while backing up the original one (Sadly
this one this not work).

I expect in such a situation when 2 graphics card are installed and
there is a hardware switch available; ubuntu should create a
configuration for one during the install and the other one the first
time it is booted up and henceforth should proceed to automatically
select the correct configuration when the user switches between modes.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Invalid => Incomplete
