Thank you Daniel Chen for your quick response, but As I said in my first posting, I am a complete newbie so I have no idea what "apport-collect -p alsa-base 426820 in a Terminal" means. I suspect you want me to type something into Ubuntu or to Launchpad so that you can get more details about this "bug" but you are going to have to walk me through the process one step at a time since I don't know how to use a terminal or whatever else you would like me to do. But thank you for your help and if you wish to continue helping, get back to me with a few more details. Remember when you were just begining to walk as a little kid.
