Sorry maybe I didn't explain what I meant:

First of all in the next release (ie. the beta) software-store will not
be installed at all. software-center will be and so none of these
problems shall exist anyway.

Second of all, development releases are said not be be squeaky clean
that is why we only use them for testing, and so I don't see the problem
if a menu item is left behind. However I value your opinion and so if
you feel this is a bug that needs to be solved, please paste the output
of 'cd /usr/share/applications && ls'.
