The N-trig digitizer is being built into more and more tablets/notebooks (Dell Latitude XT, Latitude XT2, HP TouchSmart TX2, Lenovo Thinkpad T400s and X200t, etc.). There is no reason why Ubuntu shouldn't work out of the box with all these notebooks.
Using the mainline daily kernels is not really an option for those who expect their Ubuntu to work without installing additional deb archives and for those who need the patched Ubuntu kernels (as opposed to mainline kernels) for some other reason. Thus I strongly vote for including the bug fix in the Ubuntu kernel. Also because the patch has been in use for some time now (including a couple of Ubuntu users) and I am not aware of any complaints about it. -- ubuntu karmic development kernel does not include patch to enable buttons on stylus for the N-Trig digitizer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427782 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
