Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug.  I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Status in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
First:
When I copy files from computer through LAN to network storage hard disk the
process is very fast to about 50% of all copped files then it slows down and
can not finish (over 1Gb files ). I had the same problem each time I did a copy
. The same problem was in ubuntu 9.04.
When I interrupted the process by cancelling operation the file manager
disappeared from screen, when I repeated the same copy I got back the file
manager screen I had cancelled and the new one (I had two file managers in
action). When I copy the same files from XPpro or vista I do not have any
problems. I did not have any problems with ubuntu 8.10 either.
Second:
when I set up UBUNTU 9.10 I have picked up different login name then name on
welcome screen . I noticed  I can log in using two (2) login names with the
same password (name from welcome screen and the right one I originally set up
as login during set up process).
Please let me know where is menu.lst  file that used to be in /boot/grub/ dir.
With the beta loder is not there and I need to modify it for my different
operating systems.
Thank you
