After upgrading from jaunty to karmic ubuntu needs nearly 10 minutes to boot.
I could see in dmesg that the last modules loaded before the delay where
ohci1394 and ieee1394, so I blacklisted these modules without any change in
boot time.
After that I made a fresh installation of karmic, without any changes.
Then I installed ureadahead and the kernel from karmic-proposed, as mentioned
in this bug, without any change.
So ureadahead and the new kernel from proposed doesn't fix my problem.
Any other ideas?

Very slow boot up times (2m 30s) on Karmic 9.10 compared to 25 secs with Jaunty
9.04.
