Hi Marc,
I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. It looks
like you may not be using NetworkManager to connect to your network/the
Internet. If this is the case, please try installing our latest release
in our beta PPA by following these instructions:

If this does not fix the problem, please report back here and let me
know what you are using to connect to the network/Internet.
