Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Outlook exports localized names in the CVS file so Evolution dosn't recognize it as a calender file (this could be considered a missing feature for Evolution ). This results in the appointments being imported as contacts. Bus since Evolution supports .pst, the user should just be told to copy the outlook.pst file from his folder and import it in Evolutin. No messing around with Thunderbird, or exporting/importing files for each section of the program. I see that there actualy are steps for backing up the .pst file, but no instructions are given for how to import from that file, or what it is even for, just that it is "unreliable and should be used for backup purposes only". Well so is the .cvs method, especially for every one that doesn't use an English version of Outlook. ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: string-fix -- Windows line 1114, This dosn't work for non english versions and the whole Outlook migrate path needs to be changed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/493869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
