Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: audacity

audacity 1.3.9-6 (karmic)

If I export an audio file, the file dialog repeats the name used when
importing the file. However, if a file with multiple .-seperated parts
is used, the suffix got stripped. For example:

import a file named "my.audio.file.wav". now project is named
"my.audio.file". Use export, and the file dialog suggests
"my.audio.file". It should save as "my.audio.file.wav", but when
clicking save, it will save "my.audio.file".
